Some goals need more than a group class. Maybe you're working around an injury. Maybe you want to focus on Olympic lifting, a specific sport, or just build a strong foundation on your own timeline. Personal training at BearFitness gives you a coach, a plan, and the kind of focused attention that moves the needle.
What sets us apart: your coach is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. That means every session is built on a deep understanding of how your body moves, where your limitations are, and how to train around them — not just through them.
Every personal training client starts with a full assessment. We look at your movement, your training history, your goals, and anything you're working around — whether that's a nagging shoulder, a post-surgical knee, or just years away from the gym. From there, you get a program built specifically for you.
Sessions are one-on-one with Dr. Jake Salaba, DPT who brings:
This isn't just someone counting your reps. It's coaching grounded in clinical knowledge and performance training — the kind of attention that helps you train smarter, stay healthy, and actually reach your goals.
We offer both hybrid and in-person personal training, so you can choose the approach that fits your life and budget.
Our hybrid model is built for flexibility. You get a fully customized program delivered through our training app, key fob access to the gym so you can train on your own schedule, and regular one-on-one check-ins with Dr. Jake to review your progress, adjust your programming, and keep you on track. It's a cost-effective way to get expert coaching without needing to schedule every session together.
We also offer traditional in-person personal training where Dr. Jake coaches you through every workout one-on-one. This is a great fit if you prefer hands-on guidance for every session or you're working through a complex injury or recovery.
Both options start with the same thorough assessment and custom program — the difference is how much face time you want along the way.
How Training WorksWant personalized coaching with a little more energy? Our small group sessions (2–4 people) give you the best of both worlds: a program tailored to your goals with the motivation of training alongside others. It's a great option if you want more coaching attention than a group class but prefer not to train solo.
